Family Medical Care
In 1991, The Family Health Center of Priority Medical Care was incorporated into the practice in order to provide our patients with scheduled appointments and the continuity of a more traditional model of family health care.
Scheduled appointments are encouraged for services that might require more time such as yearly health screening exams or management of multiple medical problems. When the doctor knows you're scheduled to be seen, he or she has time to preview your chart and plan ahead. That can help you stay up to date with your vaccinations and appropriate health screening tests. It's also a good time to discuss lifestyle issues like exercise, diet and smoking that can have lifelong benefits for you and your family.
Though visits to the Urgent Care Center are better suited to more limited and focused problems, you may even see your Family Health doctor there at times when you don't have an appointment. Because the Family Health Center doctors are also scheduled at the Urgent Care Center, we are able to offer you both practice styles: appointments when you want them and walk-in care when you need it.
