Doesn't it always seem like things come up at the worst of times: just after your doctor's office has closed or on the weekend when it's not even open at all? With extended hours: weekdays from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM and from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekends and holidays, we're here at a moment's notice when unexpected medical problems arise.
Are you in town for business or a family visit? Accidents and sickness can be even more difficult to deal with when you're away from home. Even just forgetting your medications can ruin your trip; or worse, it can put your health at risk. For years our central location and walk in policy have made Priority Medical Care a favorite resource for visiting family and business travelers with sudden, unexpected medical concerns.
For your convenience, we participate with most private and workers' compensation insurance plans and are even in-network providers for several HMOs including Aetna, Oxford and Horizon. An urgent care visit not only saves time compared to the emergency room, but it may also save you money; because you won't have the higher co-pay many plans require for an ER visit.
However, please remember that an urgent care center is not a replacement for the emergency room when potentially life-threatening problems do arise. The best chances for successful treatment of critical conditions such as: heart attack, stroke, severe breathing problems or major trauma, can only be provided at the emergency department of the nearest hospital. When in doubt, we encourage you to take every precaution and call 911; because time may be critical.
